I am currently writing my doctoral thesis in early universe physics, entitled "Testing Models of Cosmological Inflation". Here I describe several pieces of new research carried out in collaboration with Professor Ian Moss at Newcastle University.

Climber

Having climbed for most of my life, I competed for the Great Britain Bouldering Team from 2002 to 2007. In my 'home' county of Northumberland I have made several significant first ascents and repeats to fb 8a+ and E8.

Climb Newcastle

I am one third of Climb Newcastle, the city's dedicated indoor climbing centre which opened in 2008 in the Old Byker Swimming Pool. The centre has had 30,000 visits in it's first year and continues to grow strongly.
